I love the smell of this profume but it doesnt last on the skin much..less then any other perfume i have. The only thing i like its that u dont get a headache after using it, i mean its light and fresh like a spring day,not too heavy. However, i must spray it several times in a day to resist all day long.
I love it

I have used this product for approximately 30 years. I have paid a fortune for it in high end department stores and loved it when I found I could purchase it online for half the price. I will use this product as long as I can get it. It has been my experience that if I really like to use a product, it is immediately discontinued. I hope this does not happen to L'Air Du Temps.
A Classic Perfume

I have used this perfume for over 30 years. It is a classic French perfume and timeles, light, floral and feminine. I continue to get more compliments on this one than that other French classic, Chanel No. 5.
MISTY Memories

I was still, but a child, when I pulled my first tiny bottle of this 1948 classic, L'Air du Temps, from my Christmas stocking. I was mesmerized by the bottle, and, the birds, more than the content. In fact, I wasn't quite into fragrances, yet, and was not impressed with the smell; I wrinkled my nose; my father grinned. I can't say the same for my mother, who gifted with the same fragrance, swooned when she dabbed her neck. I can still see my dad's beaming face---the joy he received gifting his favorite girls, with such a special treat.

From that Christmas on, L'Air du Temps became a holiday tradition, through my 20's. While I initially took the fragrance for granted, I began to slowly become enamoured with it, and I was struck by the realization that my dad was a man of refined taste. This realization hit home, most profoundly, when he was suddenly taken from us. This is when I realized that fragrances are much more than the olfactory experience; they evoke many emotions, on such a deep psychological level, that just one passing whiff can send you time-traveling.

L'Air du Temps is, simply put, a beautiful, spicy floral that is a must for anyone who loves feminine, classy, vintage type scents. I don't care if I'm wearing jogging shoes and grungy jeans, when I apply this scent, I suddenly feel like the gamin faced, Audrey Hepburn, or sometimes, I morph into the sultry Claudia Cardinale, who reportedly loved this fragrance. There is not another scent that makes me feel as feminine.

I know I'm likely partial because I have a history with this fragrance, but also because of the carnation (a favorite of mine), which is in the top notes, along with neroli, bergamot, rose and Brazilian rosewood. The middle notes also contain carnation, with rosemary, gardenia, violet, orchid, cloves, orris root, jasmine, ylang-ylang, and more rose. While I think the carnation lingers through, and remains detectable hours after application, the final notes include spices, iris, amber, sandalwood, musk, benzoin, oak moss, vertiver and cedar.

There are some that say, that even though there has been a reformulation, likely for cost control, that this creation still has more natural ingredients than many others, and has not strayed too far from the original, for the purists to still enjoy it. I tend to agree, but sure wish it could have retained its classic formula.

In memory of my father, I was looking for some L'Air du Temps to gift myself for Christmas. I was thrilled to find it at such a savings here on Amazon, particularly for the 3.3 oz size. It has arrived, and I'm delighted. It appears as fresh as any that I have bought at fine department stores, and much better than my last drug store purchase, at twice the cost. It IS the real deal!

While reminiscing, I focused on the little doves and I was reminded of their universal meaning---one of love, hope, peace, fidelity and new beginnings. I was filled with overwhelming gratitude, for that first little bottle of L'Air du Temps, and everything was, put-right, for the New Year.
Wonderful product, great price!

This is the 3rd time I ordered L'Air Du Temps in this large size. It's the real stuff and the price is fantastic. I used to buy it at a department store for almost double the price. I'm so happy to have found this on Amazon.
